Mosaic on Slate Workshop – Wildflowers

Sunday 23rd August 2026 | 11AM-1.30PM

Design a floral mosaic on slate using reclaimed ceramics, glass, and found materials inspired by wildflowers and summer landscapes.

Using the Picassiette mosaic method, you’ll create your own decorative mosaic artwork on natural slate using reclaimed ceramics, glass, stone, and found materials. Inspired by summer blooms and the surrounding landscape, this workshop offers a chance to slow down, work creatively with your hands, and connect with nature through design.

Forage: Wild Food & Cooking Workshops

A seasonal foraging walk and cooking workshop exploring the wild food, herbs and stories growing on our doorstep

Led by local forager Mim Black, this relaxed and hands-on workshop begins with a guided walk around the local area, where you'll learn to notice, identify and responsibly harvest a variety of seasonal plants.

Pon De Bank: A Caribbean Pit-Stop

Join us for an afternoon of Caribbean food, music and celebration as Gathering Ground becomes a vibrant stop along the Glasgow Canal Quest.

As part of the Commonwealth Games Festival, we're transforming our canal-side garden into a colourful celebration of Caribbean culture. Whether you're taking part in Canal Quest or simply looking for a fun afternoon out, everyone is welcome to stop by, enjoy great food, soak up the music and get involved.

Inspired by the spirit of Caribbean street culture, Pon De Bank is all about bringing people together through food, creativity and community.
